Established in 2011, Fly There provides a full range of flight instruction, aircraft rental and asset management services from the Chicago Executive Airport located in Wheeling, Illinois.  Our independent instructors specialize in providing an educational, exciting and memorable experience for your first flight or hundredth takeoff.

Jason M. Unger - CFI, CFII, MEI, CSIP

Hello, I would like to introduce myself as the founder of Fly There, LLC  at Chicago Executive Airport (PWK).   I’ve been involved in aviation for over 22 years, and am excited to share any experiences that may prove valuable when evaluating your options for choosing the correct flight school.  I have experience and qualifications in a wide range of aircraft which include but are not limited to the Cirrus SR 20 and 22, Bonanza, Decathlon, Piper Mirage/Matrix, Cessna 310 & 421, Pilatus PC-12 and a type rating in the EA-50 Eclipse Jet.  In addition I have experience using Garmin 430/530W’s, 650/750’s, Avidyne EX 500 and 5000, Garmin G500/G600 and G1000, Aspen EFD 1000 as well as various autopilots.

As a career flight instructor, it is my goal to provide you with the proper information when the time is right.  I look forward for the opportunity to meet with you and discuss our flight school and the benefits associated with us.  I am dedicated and proud to provide the best I can offer in a Flight School/Aircraft Rental & Management facility, and I am positive that we have what you are looking for.

John Korinke - CFI, CFII, MEI

John started flying in 2009 at the Rocky Mountain Metro airport in Broomfield, Colorado and later received his CFI and CFII in Fort Collins, Colorado.  He studied aviation at Lewis University and earned his bachelor degree in Aviation Administration in addition to earning his FAA aircraft dispatcher certificate.  John has experience flying in many different types of airplanes including the Cessna 172, Archer III, Arrow, Mooney, Bonanza, Apache, T210 and the Piper Malibu Mirage.  John also has experience using Garmin’s 430/530W’s, G500, GTN 650/750’s and Aspen’s EFD 1000.

Mike Melton - CFI, CFII, MEI

Mike has been one of our flight instructors since 1990 and has trained pilots for the Private, Instrument, Commercial, Flight Instructor, and Instrument Instructor certificates/ratings.  He has also taught Private Pilot and Instrument Pilot ground schools and presented numerous safety seminars.  Since 2005 he has served as an Aviation Safety Counselor, now FAASTeam Representative.  Mike is also on the faculty of Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago.

Grant Harkins - CFI, MEI

Grant began his flight training at KPWK in 2003 flying a Cessna 150 before attending Southern Illinois University obtaining his private through CFI.  He has since added his MEI and AGI.  Grant worked as a flight instructor in Carbondale for a year before moving back to Chicago where he continued teaching at the place he first started flying.  After a year and a half of teaching in Chicago he was hired as a First Officer for a commercial airline working there for five years flying various types of turbo props and jets as a First Officer, a Captain, and a training Captain.  In 2013 he left the airlines to fly for a Fractional jet company and still flies with them to this day as a Captain on a Gulfstream 550.  Grant has always enjoyed teaching and continues to share his knowledge and passion for aviation.  He has flown many types of singles and twins, including tailwheel aircraft, with varying avionics from a basic six pack to the G1000 flight decks.

Tosh Desai - CFI, CFII

Tosh started flying in 2001 in Jacksonville FL, and later obtained his flight instructor and instrument flight instructor certificates from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne FL where he also earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management.  In addition to extensive experience flying and teaching in C172/182/210, Piper Warrior/ Archer/ Arrow, Cirrus SR22, Diamond DA40 aircraft, and Garmin G1000 glass panel.  Tosh also has a strong background in business aircraft operations management, revenue management and charter sales.

Jared Dellinger - CFI, CFII, MEI

Jared Dellinger started flying in 2009 after returning from the Peace Corps and eventually earned his private pilot certificate in 2013.  Originally from Virginia, Jared moved to Illinois in 2010 for graduate school, where he earned a Master's in Applied Economics at ISU in Bloomington.  After moving to the Chicago area, he then pursued advanced aviation certificates out of DuPage Airport, earning his Instrument, Commercial, and CFI certificates.  Jared is a CFI, CFII, and MEI with experience flying the 172/182/PA-28-181/ and PA-44 equipped with Garmin 430/530, GTN 650, and Aspen's EFD 1000.
